Newest installment of the quarterly Ogham KAL!

We are excited that the pattern for the newest installment of the Quarterly Ogham KAL was released today! You can pick up the pattern at the following link or you can purchase it through Ravlery. The shawl requires 2 skeins of Wooly Wonka Fibers Nimue Sock and size US6/4.0 mm needles. The pictured shawl was knit using the Bracken colorway. This shawl would look great in most of the Nimue Sock colorways so if the Bracken colorway isn’t to your liking choose 2 skeins of your favorite color and knit along with us in June!

New shipments have been arriving!

While we have been open for shipping, curbside pickup, private appointments and local delivery we are looking forward to being able to fully reopen soon! In anticipation of that we have been restocking some store favorites! Look for more posts about recent arrivals and website updates soon.

We have stocked up on Kauni Effektgarn. All colors, in various ball sizes, are now back in stock!

All Bamboo Pop colors are now in stock and up on the website!

New books have arrived!

We are super excited that the Kofte books we ordered from Norway have arrived! Volume 2 and Volume 3 are now in stock and up on the website. Please note that these books are in Norwegian. Each pattern is still relatively easy to follow even if you don’t speak Norwegian! The pictures and the patterns are equally stunning and will make these books something you flip through all the time for inspiration!

The Selbu Mittens book that has been translated into English has also arrived! This is the bible of Selbu mitten knitting. Written by Anne Bårdsgård, a native of Selbu, this book is full of pictures, graphs and patterns.

Check all of the books out on the website. We have added a book link to the menu on the top of the page for easy access. We will continue uploading books, both new ones and old favorites, as time goes on so check back to see new additions and possibly find that book you were always looking for!

Website open during COVID-19 stay-at-home order

Yes, we are open for shipping! The post office and UPS are still operating and we can have packages picked up so we are able to fulfill orders through our website, www.wallofyarn.com. We have recently added all of our in stock addi Turbo and addi Rocket needles to the website! The double pointed needles, flexi-flips and crochet hooks will be added soon too! Click on the Needles link on the top of the home page and click on the addi logo to purchase the needles. Addi needles are made in Germany, have a lifetime warranty and are some of the best needles out there. Please note that since the US distributor is based in Washington state and they have been deemed a non-essential business that out of stock needles won’t be back in stock until after their stay-at-home order has been lifted.

We are adding new items all the time so keep checking in to see what else we have to offer. If you want to order something not currently on the website you can call us and we can take the order over the phone! Just leave a message as we are in and out of the shop and may miss your call. We do check messages multiple times a day.
